RECENTLY READ: The Fault in Our Stars

The Fault in Our Stars - John Green

I read this book on the plane and I sobbed.

It was a quick read (because it is a Young Adults novel), but it was well written. It's about kids with cancer, so naturally, it was a tearjerker.

If you're in the mood for a quick and easy read (and you want to cry), then I highly suggest it. It was a little goofy in some parts - the main guy in the book puts a cigarette between his lips, but doesn't light it because of the metaphor. Pretty eyeroll inducing. The kids had a Dawson's Creek feel - you're 16 and why are you using such big words? I don't even use that big of words. But what are you going to do?

Goal #3 - 23 for 23 - 14/50

I read this book (last month, I think) and I can't quite figure out why people seem to love it so much. I enjoyed his writing style, but I wasn't particularly moved by the story. Maybe I'm just a heartless SOB ;)

I read that book a few months ago. I thought it was just okay although I did cry too! I can see this being made into a movie.

I don't know why it made me cry so much. The characters were so pretentious and I kept rolling my eyes ... and then crying. I was a little emotional on the plane.

I'm fairly sure I've seen it on a list of books that will be made into movies this year and that's where I got the idea to read it.
